Stafford County is the birthplace of our first president, George Washington. Stafford also has many other historical places including Chatham, the Stafford Civil War Park and the Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont.
El Gran Charro
A favorite local lunch spot. Authentic Mexican food in Stafford. Wednesday lunch specials can't be beat. I have been eating here for many years and they have always been consistent with good quality food and great service. Recent remodeling looks great. Stop by for a tasty meal.
Umi's Japanese Cuisine
Umi means "sea" in Japanese and this makes perfect sense after you order off of their terrific menu! With 2 locations, the other being in Fredericksburg, their sushi is made from the freshest fish from the sea. Umi Sushi welcomes you, your friends, coworkers, and family to try not only their fresh and beautiful sushi, but all of their tremendous dishes. With exceptional service and a lovely atmosphere, check out Umi Japanese Cuisine! Their "Untouchable" roll is outstanding. Get several to share and try with some friends! You will not be disappointed!
Autumn Ridge Park
This is a great neighborhood park. Not too big, not too small. The park has a baseball/softball field, playground and a large field for your dog to run and play catch. It also has a grill and a pavilion to have a family get together rain or shine. I have had my children's birthday parties here. Come by and enjoy the beautiful nature, there are lots of trees and there are benches where you can sit and read a book while your little ones play on the playground, which has a large twisty slide, they will love. What fun! Come out and enjoy Autumn Ridge Park on the next sunny day.
This community is so nice!
I'm from Philadelphia, PA, a very large, well developed city with mass transit. I moved to Stafford County in 1988 when it was not as developed as it is now and still nothing like where I was raised. I have always loved living here. It has a great sense of community. I raised a family here, my children have gone through the school system, played little league, taken dance lessons and piano lessons here. When I go into the grocery store I am sure to run into someone I know from some part of my life in the county. I have had a great 28 years here!
Best Local Restaurant In North Stafford
If you are looking for a quiet, family restaurant, Vinny's on 610 is the place. My husband and I dine there on a weekly basis. The place is clean and the service is superb. Go in sometime and try the Chicken Philly Steak Sandwich and you will not be disappointed. Did I forget, they have the best "chips" around!
New to the area or just looking to update your wireless needs? Verizon Wireless Communications store off of 610 is the place to go! It is a "smart store" meaning it has accessories and solutions that other stores do not offer. The friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you get in and out, with a new device, awesome accessories and most likely savings on your bill after doing an account analysis.
Seven Lakes offers wide open pasture land and densely wooded home sites on 3-9 acre lots. A premier Equestrian Estate Community with Williamsburg-style colonials, large ranch homes, and traditional farmhouse-inspired homes. Horse trails border much of the community providing a safe place for the community’s horse owners to ride away from their property. The community provides the privacy of estate living while giving residents excellent access to Stafford and Fredericksburg shopping, 15 minute access to I-95 and is within five minutes of the award-winning Augustine Golf Course.
Stafford Sport & Health
Looking for a local gym? I’ve been a member of Stafford Sport and Health since 2008! Located on Garrisonville Rd in the Brafferton Center. Love Love, Love, Lesmills Bodystep, this is probably my favorite class at the gym, although there are many, from BodyStep, to Body Pump, Body Flow, Cycle, Kickboxing and the list goes on…. All the instructors Rock. I love the schedules variety and the selection of times, works great for my crazy schedule. Honestly, this is probably my second home, a must to check out if you are just moving to the area and looking for a great gym. Ask them at the front desk if you can try out the gym for the first week, they are always having specials, better yet, give me a call and I will get you in!
This unique BBQ place honors our Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines, and First Responders. Really cool military decor and great BBQ located on route 610. The pulled pork sandwich is amazing. Don't forget the fried onion rings, baked beans, and cole slaw. I also like the brisket. This is the place to get your fix of BBQ and support Wounded Warriors. Pass the napkin!
