However, if you travel southeast toward the opposite side of the Windy Run Stream you will find local favorites Tarbouch and The Italian Store, a neighborhood market that also serves as a restaurant. The Italian Store is known for its fantastic wine collection and classic subs and pizzas.
Dover-Crystal also offers easy access to the restaurant and nightlife of Washington, DC. Kotobuki is a welcoming spot sitting just on the other end of the river. This Japanese restaurant offers some of the best and least expensive sushi in the area. Across the street is BlackSalt Fish Market & Restaurant. This restaurant has creative seafood preparations served in an upscale restaurant while also having a take-out fish market.
Enjoying the Great Outdoors in Dover-Crystal
Dover-Crystal is surrounded by a variety of trails. These trails include the Blue Jay Way, the White Oak Way, the Potomac Heritage Trail and the Overlook Trail. Some of these trails interconnect within the Potomac Overlook Regional Park, located at the northern tip of the neighborhood. This park offers 70 acres of peaceful woodland, educational gardens, a picnic area and a nature center. Not only does it offer some great views of the Potomac River, but its nature center is home to live animals and during the summer there are free concerts held at the park.
Windy Run Park is another favorite neighborhood attraction. This charming little park is located on the eastern point of the community and is joined by its namesake stream. Along with the stream, which is great for some dogs, this park also offers beautiful nature paths.
Traveling Around Dover-Crystal
This neighborhood’s unique location allows easy access to both Maryland and Washington, DC via Metrobus or George Washington Memorial Parkway, Route 29, Route 124, and I-66. The ART bus also travels within the neighborhood.

Right off of N Randolph St and N Quebec St, you can access a few peaceful hiking trails. Great for dogs, taking a nice evening stroll, or taking a shortcut to get to the Donaldson Run Pool.

Dover-Crystal Spring Knolls
The Dover neighborhood is one of Arlington's most coveted, although not metro accessible, it boats "only one stop light to DC" with easy access on the Spout Run Parkway. It features larger lot sizes, a mix of styles ranging from colonial, to contemporary as well as mix of older remodeled homes and new construction. The area feeds to Taylor Elementary, some parts Williamsburg, some Swanson, as well as both Yorktown and Washington Lee High Schools.
