Frederick City Frederick, MD
Maryland's best kept secret
More than just a tourist stop, Frederick is fast becoming a target destination for folks working in DC. It is less than one hour from Washington, D.C., Baltimore, and nearby Gettysburg, Antietam, and Harpers Ferry. Scenic byways lead to wineries, orchards, and Civil War heritage that is all very close to Frederick. The city has a bustling downtown district that features several fine dining restaurants, a micro brewery, a Wegmans and lots of unique shops. There is a delightful mixture of today and yesterday that offers a sense of all that is good in small towns. New construction continues to take place outside the city. The commute time is offset by the bucolic lifestyle offered.
Can you Cacique?
If you live in or near downtown Frederick and LOVE Mexican food then you must stop by Caciques at 24 N Market St to grab a good margarita and great fajitas! Casual dining and friendly staff make this an excellent choice!
The YMCA of Frederick
Wow! After a recent remodel from flooding out, the Frederick YMCA located at 1000 North Market street is back to action packed family fun and fitness activities and facilities for all. My family likes that there is something for all ages and levels of Fitness. There is swimming, the racquet ball courts, indoor track, basketball, soccer, weight training and the dance studios. A family deal under $90 month also provides youth development activity, social responsibility classes and leadership skill opportunities. We like it because our member ship allows us to the use of multiple locations like the Green Valley Location on Fingerboard rd in Monrovia, Maryland. The 2016 Guides are now out at 301-663-5131.
Isabella's Tavern and Tapas Bar
If you've never experienced Tapas (appetizer-like Spanish cuisine), then you must go to Isabella's Tavern and Tapas bar. It's great to go with a group of friends where everyone orders and shares their Tapas. It's a great way to try something new, like their fried asparagus stalks with roasted tomato aioli - delicious! #lovewhereyoulive #frederickmd
