Captain Whites
There is no other. If you are seeking fresh fish, lobster or crabs, Captain Whites is the one place you have to stop. It is not a restaurant per se, but you can get you catch cooked.Everything here is outdoors--even the seafood (but they do have enough ice to keep things cool). One stand sells cooked Seafood so you can eat a Crab cake (soooo full of Crab meat and not too seasoned) and Clam Chowder at over the makeshift patio in the back. Now you are eating seafood so it can be freakin' messy back there because everyone has to stand up (no chairs) to eat. The floor area has crustacean shells everywhere, and the area has a definite "sea smell". A summer afternoon with a fresh fish sandwich in hand is a true Washingtonian delight.
