Guide to The Wilton
Attracting both families and young professionals, the historic neighborhood of Dupont Circle isn’t just home to some of the most recognizable restaurants and nightclubs in the district but it’s also home to the Wilton. A traditional style condo development, the Wilton is located at 1931 17th Street in Washington, DC and was erected back in 1908. This 3-story building now offers 30 renovated residences with ideal floor plans, spacious bedrooms, hardwood floors, upgraded appliances, additional storage rooms, and plenty of windows extracting natural light. However, the main attraction about living at the Wilton is its close proximity to a Metro station and the restaurants and bars of the historic U Street Corridor.
Local 16 is around the corner from the Wilton and is a locally sourced American restaurant serving classic American cuisine with a late-night scene fueled by a rooftop bar and music. Lost Society is further down U Street and is a high-end steakhouse with a dark, retro vibe and an upstairs lounge with rooftop deck. Some notable bars to check out include The Gibson, Policy, The Fainting Goat, and Marvin. Down the street from the Fainting Goat is the U St. Metro station. Running on the Green and Yellow Lines, this station is also serviced by the Metro bus which occupies numerous stops near the building. New Hampshire Avenue is the most congested road near the community, while other roads drivers should consider are Connecticut Avenue and Florida Avenue.
